MyBonts is Bont's semi-custom colour programme — the same system they've been running since 1975. The Quadstar Carbon gives you a fully configurable Bont Quadstar Carbon roller derby boot in your chosen colourway, built with the precision and materials of a production Bont boot but finished to your specification. Lead time: 6–8 weeks (faster June–December).

The Quadstar Carbon is the definitive carbon roller derby boot. Built on an anatomically shaped last derived from laser scans of real feet, it delivers the kind of precision fit that mass-manufactured boots simply cannot achieve. Replaceable rubber bumper toe protection, adjustable Velcro top strap, and a rear heel loop are standard. Every boot is handmade.

The Technology Behind the Boot

The Quadstar Carbon uses Toray aerospace-grade carbon fibre in an inside-out monocoque construction — hand-laid, one piece, no joins. The heat-moldable Durolite liner complements the 60°C / 140°F epoxy resin base, allowing you to achieve a precision custom fit at home after delivery. Carbon fibre base, vegan outer skin options, memory foam padding, and anti-stretch lining are all standard.

How to Heat-Mold Your Bont Boots

  1. Pre-heat your oven to 60°C / 140°F — no higher.
  2. Remove the footbed and place boots in the oven for 4 minutes.
  3. Wearing a thin skating sock, insert the footbed and lace firmly (not tightly).
  4. Sit with feet flat at 90° for 10–12 minutes while the resin sets.
  5. Allow to cool fully before skating.
