Bont MyBonts Racer Carbon Speed Skate Boot — Semi-Custom

MyBonts is Bont's semi-custom colour programme, running continuously since 1975. The Racer Carbon Speed Skate Boot gives you the choice of colour, delivered on Bont's gold-standard quad speed boot. If you need standard black or white, the off-the-shelf Racer Carbon is available; the MyBonts version is for skaters who demand their own specification. Allow 6–8 weeks (faster June–December).

The Racer Carbon is Bont's purpose-built quad speed and jam skating boot — a performance-grade suede and carbon platform that combines professional power transfer with the kind of personal expression that only Bont's custom programme can deliver.

The Technology Behind the Boot

Built on Bont's inside-out monocoque carbon fibre process using Toray aerospace-grade material, with a fully heat-moldable base at 60°C / 140°F — the lowest in the industry. The suede outer provides a classic quad speed aesthetic; the closed-cell memory foam liner ensures a fit that tightens rather than softens over time.

How to Heat-Mold Your Bont Boots

1. Pre-heat your oven to 60°C / 140°F — no higher.
2. Remove the footbed and place boots in the oven for 4 minutes.
3. Wearing a thin skating sock, insert the footbed and lace firmly (not tightly).
4. Sit with feet flat at 90° for 10–12 minutes while the resin sets.
5. Allow to cool fully before skating.
